Match Fishing Rules

 

ONLY “Gold Valley fishery” pellets will be allowed on the Gold Valley complex

All feed pellets used at Gold Valley must be obtained ON SITE and NOT bought onto the fishery from ANY outside source. (no additives / oils or flavourings to be added to pellets) This is a fish welfare decision.

THE PELLET RULES APPLY TO ALL ANGLERS FISHING ON THE GOLD VALLEY COMPLEX!

   

BAIT RULES  FOR ALL COSTCUTTER MATCHES

MAGGOTS

CASTERS

HEMP (including crushed hemp)

WORMS

BROWN / WHITE CRUMB (4kg dry max)

FISHERY PELLETS (all feed pellets must be purchased from our on-site bait shop)

NO additives / flavourings / colourings of any sort.

 

The above baits are now the ONLY baits

that can be used in all costcutter matches!!

Any angler found in possession of any other baits will be disqualified.

 

BAIT RULES FOR ALL CLUB / CORPORATE / OPEN MATCHES

NO NUTS or BEANS

NO CAT & DOG FOOD etc…

NO BREAD

NO FEEDING OF SURFACE BAITS

NO FIXED BOLT RIGS

BARBLESS HOOKS ONLY

NO MORE THAN 80lb IN EACH KEEPNET

ALL FEED PELLETS MUST BE OBTAINED FROM OUR ON-SITE BAIT SHOP!

(Silver fish, including Crucians are to be kept in a separate net from all other Carp)

ANY ANGLER FOUND TO BE DISREGARDING ANY OF THE ABOVE RULES WILL BE DISQUALIFIED

 

 GOLD VALLEY CODE OF PRACTICE

Tackle or bait must not be transferred between anglers, or spectators and anglers during the contest. Once an angler arrives at his peg he may not receive any assistance in the assembling of tackle, or the making of rigs. Any anglers not adhering to this rule will be disqualified.

All anglers fishing matches at Gold Valley are asked to respect ALL the rules and not to indulge in any unsporting or ungentle manly behaviour.

Unused bait must not be left on banks or thrown in after the match. Please take all unused bait away.

No feeding or cupping with a second pole – only one pole or rod in use at any one time. No rods to be left unattended.

Please use the toilets provided and not the banks or surrounds of the lakes.

All fish must be placed and not dropped or thrown into keepnets. Do not hold fish in towels.

Anglers must not fish beyond half way to the next angler.

No fishing on after the match.

N.F.A. RULES APPLY AND ORGANISERS DECISIONS SHALL BE FINAL IN OTHER INSTANCES.
